The site consists of two bespoke dwellings situated on the northern edge of the village of Guilden Morden in Cambridgeshire. They were both designed for a developer client with whom the practice has an ongoing relationship.
The buildings make full use of the site which was formerly occupied by a derelict cottage. The house to the front of the site, sits on Potton Road and forms part of a street scene which is occupied by a detached brick built period cottage and a thatched roof timber framed property, called ‘Cherry Holt’ which has a grade 2 Listed Building designation.
Both houses were designed to respect the setting of the afore-mentioned Listed Building. The houses are now being enjoyed by two individual home owners.
